I gave "sploo" its name as a homage to "spoo", a food which appeared in the TV series Babylon 5. Just now, I got around to Googling my version of the word, and I found a website which claims that "sploo" is, for some, a slang-word for.. a certain bodily function which only males can perform. If this is true, I apologize to any urban hipsters in the audience. Although if true, it makes it a doubly-appropriate name.
And while I came up with it on my own, I see that 'caveberries' appear in one installment of the Final Fantasy computer game series. I've never played FF, but call it a homage as well if you want!
