The Mansion of E :: Part Four: The Road Less Travelled
Shona and her fellow gnolls Niff and Folla last appeared here. Mowder the Trog and the rest of the Ex-Rhid folks last appeared here This sequence contains character-names submitted by MoE readers, who won the priviledge by giving me some money. (Thanks again, everyone!) While I did attempt to pair names with what I considered a more-or-less appropriate character.. for the official record, none of these characters or their attributes in any way reflect the attributes of any of the Real Life name-submitters, and vice-versa. Sina last appeared here. Hiblehoy the Motihaul and Wrawa the Trog were last seen here. Grik and Grak the Trogs have put in a couple of minor appearences; most notibly, they were among the first non-humans to show up in the strip. Kottle is all-new and exciting. Sina developed eye trouble here. When I first worked on/posted this sequence, I had forgotten that I have given Motihauls a new dialogue-font, so I went back and changed Hiblehoy's dialogue. Since there was no easy in-strip way to make this clear, "the Incident" is not a reference to the world-wide magic Crash; the former happened decades after the latter. The hat was a victim, not an instigator. Also, Rhid discussed his relationship with the Candle Monks here. GBOLs were discussed here. Othara's illustrious late grandfather has been mentioned a couple of times before. And yes, he is a ripoff of homage to the character of the same name from Girl Genius, although hopefully not quite as intentionally insufferable. (That pretty well covers my Phil Foglio references for the month..) Hopobefever the Ghast was last seen here. If I ever had to (eep) redo this whole thing from scratch, I'd probably change to an art style along lines of that second panel... Rosemary and Sylvester visited the Twistpoint here. As noted above, these characters normally appear in Zeera The Space Pirate, but if anybody has any problems with this strip, it is entirely my fault and responsibility, and Zeera creator Naomi Hatchman is an innocent bystander. Go read her comic and make it up to her! If you are seeing this text, your browser does not support inline frames
