Saturdays in the Basement :: Nitid the Helipath [03/03/2018 present]
Nitid the Helipath painter has appeared once or twice before, most prominently here. Lucint appeared here. Espy the Observatory muckamuck appeared here. A belated farewell to Patrick McManus. He was a writer of outdoor humor, and has always been one of my favorite authors. He influenced my sense of humor, and you'll find homages to his work scattered throughout the MoE. If you've never read any of his short stories, give some a try; I can personally testify that you don't have to be a hunter or fisherman to enjoy them. In his later years, he also wrote a string of mystery novels, but honestly I was not terribly impressed with those. We've never seen Skritch the Gnoll before, but the Basement fishing grottoes were previously mentioned here. It's probably hard to tell with this strip, but I finally remembered that as Helipaths are a single-sex species, I had been giving them colored irises, but no eyelashes, so I've started doing it again. Shona's favor Yeah, Digger could qualify for LSP membership, but he's not much of a joiner. Nitid failed to be sensible. We visited the Observatory starting here Auril constructed the Aurilnode network in the Basement. Piranom sort of appears starting here. I realized that I didn't make it properly clear what is happening in that last panel, so I did a spot of editing to the image. Mingent the Gobule has appears a couple of times before. The newcomer is a Boogieman- I am trying a different more readable font for the species. The two Gnolls were last seen way back here. This is Wrawa the Troglodyte, currently living in the trogtrap on the side of the Great Chasm. Ig the Saur last saw his lady-friend Narda starting here. Continues from 2020-01-18. Shona going in.Mingent barging in. Yes, Sylvester had a helmet too, but for some reason Rosemary's was more memorable. These two were last seen here. If I was doing this all over again, I'd probably call Boogiemen "Trolls" or "Ogres" or somesuch. So.. to how many people out there does the name Herb Tarlek still mean anything? This group was last seen here. If you are seeing this text, your browser does not support inline frames
